The pavilion at Bayfront Park overlooks Mobile Bay and is located off of Scenic 98 and U.S. Hwy. 98 South. Accessible from both sides, the pavilion can be rented for weddings. City of Daphne’s plans to revitalize Bayfront Park

The first phase of the City of Daphne’s plans to revive Bayfront Park will be to improve the park’s infrastructure. City officials will be seeking bids for the first phase of the project on March 15. The bids will be used for improvements to the bayfront park drive, landscaping and a new roundabout. Other plans for the park include an amphitheater and a 400-foot extension of the park’s pier.

In 1996, the Village Point Foundation was established with a mission to revitalize and preserve Daphne’s parks. The organization bought seven acres of Bayfront Park and 50 acres of the Village Point Preserve, which was renamed in 2003. In the same year, the Park was awarded the Alabama Urban Forestry Award. The project is on schedule to open in 2018.
